COVERAGE EXPLORER

See what the radar can actually find where you live.

Every country gets a global baseline. Some regions and countries add stronger official or local public-data layers. This page makes those differences explicit instead of pretending coverage is identical everywhere.

What extra layers are available?

Global layers always remain available. The selector only shows which additional regional/country sources can be added.

GLOBAL

Available for every supported place

MET Norway

Local weather context

Daily local forecast context plus stronger wind, precipitation, heat, cold and thunder signals.

USGS

Earthquakes

Recent earthquakes ranked by magnitude, distance and freshness rather than a global list.

GDACS + NASA EONET

Major disasters

Floods, cyclones, wildfires, volcanoes and other major events are distance- and severity-weighted.

Wikimedia + GDELT

Country Now

Country readership trends and high-signal current topics provide non-weather context without pretending to be breaking-news verification.

Wikidata/QLever + country/city feeds

Scheduled events

Nearby and country-wide scheduled events are discovered from structured sources; coverage varies by place.

TheSportsDB

Country sports

Country and popular-sport league discovery with bounded requests; city teams are added where known.

Nager.Date + platform timezone rules

Public dates & time changes

Public holidays and relevant clock changes give the weekly view practical planning context.

Wikidata/QLever

Elections & referendums

Upcoming structured civic dates are checked for the selected country and rise as voting day approaches; official election authorities remain authoritative.

NOAA SWPC

Significant space weather

G/R/S level 2+ NOAA bulletins are global-impact signals and can surface for any selected country.

Local calculations

Rare sky peaks

Meteor-shower peaks and lunar context remain an occasional layer, not the identity of the product.

COVERAGE TIERS

Why one country can look richer than another.

01

Global baseline

Weather, earthquakes, major disasters, public dates, Country Now, country sports, scheduled-event discovery and rare sky context are the common starting point.

02

Regional authority

Participating European countries can add MeteoAlarm official warnings. This is a stronger warning layer, not a different product.

03

Country-specific public data

Slovenia and the U.S. currently have the deepest dedicated public-data integrations because reliable official feeds are available and commercially usable.

04

City-specific event depth

Selected cities add official event datasets. Where those do not exist, the radar stays on structured global/country fallbacks rather than scraping arbitrary calendars.
